School supplies

I was at Walgreens yesterday and they had nice backpacks for 2/9.99. Trailfinder I believe they were called.A nice size and nice looking bags. I picked a couple up and may go back but thought if you wanted to pass the information on others may want to get them now at that price. I suppose it is through the weekend. Office Max also had some great buys but limits of 3 per customer. KMart had a good ad this week too but I didn't make it there yet. I have set aside some boxes in the basement to put things in so if people want to drop it off or leave it in a box at the church we can start gathering for next year but getting the great sale prices now. As you probably heard, the school supply give away was a great success!!!! The supplies we had were gone by 3 pm. Barb thinks we helped about 20 families and that we will need about 3 times as much next yr, because we will get the word out earlier to the public. The school did a nice job of letting families know when they registered. The library said we could use the facilities again next yr. because they thought it was a great thing. Thank you to those who helped and who gave!

I just talked with Sue at West Central and they are totally out of school supplies and are sending people to Sidney. If you want to drop some off at West Central, they will appreciate it greatly. Thanks Judy
