STUDY GUIDE
Monday, September 28: Perfected; Hebrews 10:17. God doesn’t improve, He perfects. He doesn’t enhance, He completes. We still err and stumble. We still do exactly what we don’t want to do. When it comes to our position before God, we are perfect. When He sees each of us, He sees one who has been made perfect through Jesus Christ.
Tuesday, September 29: Set Apart; Read Galatians 5:22-23. Many times in our world we, as Christians, are despised, persecuted and mocked and singled out for our beliefs. It is in these times of persecution that we realize that the Holy Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He encourages each of us to practice these fruits of the Spirit each day.
Wednesday, September 30: Rescued Heaven; Read John 5:24. When you recognize God as Creator, you will admire Him. When you recognize His wisdom, you will learn from Him. When you discover His strength, you will rely on Him, but only when He saves you will you worship Him.
Thursday, October 1: Let The Redeemed Say So; Read Colossians 3:10. Salvation is the process that‘s done, that is secure. Sanctification is the lifelong process of being changed from one degree of glory to the next, and growing in Christ, putting away the old, and taking on the new.
Friday, October 2: God Energizes Our Efforts; Read Colossians 1:28-29. Paul dreamed of the day that each person would be safe in Christ. How did he do it? What was his source of strength? He worked with all the energy that he possessed. As Paul worked so did God, and as you work, so does God.
Saturday, October 3: God Knows What’s Best; Read Proverbs 3:5. The problem with this world is that it doesn’t fit. It will do for now, but it isn’t tailor made as God would like it. We were made to live with God, but on earth we live by faith. We were made to live forever, but on earth we live for the moment.
