SOS (Support Our Soldiers)

As you know, we have been providing casseroles for Carissa while her husband is serving our country> Since we are coming into the serswon of Thanksgiving, the Adult Sunday School class wil be collecting cards, and supplies to send to Chris and his unit. There are 200 soldiers in his unit and we would like to send them each a thank you. The youth have already made cards to send. If each of us would provide 2 "thank you" cards, we could thank a whole unit. Since there won't be any names on these cards, they could pass them along to other units. The soldiers are also in need of basic necessities and anything from home is a blessing and GREATLY appreciated. The gibbest item is socks. From there, they can use chap stick, tooth brushes, tooth paste, wipes, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, hand soap, shampoo, etc. All cards and items will be sent to Chris and he will place them on a community table for all the soldiers to choose from. A box will be provided by the table at the back of the church for your items. You can also email chimestime@aol.com if you have any questions, or want to bring them to Joyfully Yours Country Decor. The deadline for gathering the above is November 1st. Help us say Thank You to a few of our service men and women.
