Study Guide Oct. 19th - 24th

STUDY GUIDE

Monday, October 19: Who Can Fathom Eternity; Read Ecclesiastes 3:10. It doesn’t take a wise person to know that people long for more than earth. We see pain, hunger, senseless deaths, and we question why? God flirts with us, He tantalizes us, and He romances us. These are the moments that are the appetizers for the dish that is to come.
Tuesday, October 20: From The Inside Out; Read John 14:16-17. Do-it-yourself Christianity is not much encouragement to those who are done in and worn out. We need help from the inside out. Hidden deep within our heart that no on else has seen lies God who is willing to provide us with the help we all need.
Wednesday, October 21: The Ultimate Triumph; Read John 12:24. We do all that we can to live and not die. God however says we must die to live. When a Christian dies, it is not a time to despair, but a time to trust. Just as a buried seed sprouts new life, so will our body blossom into a new body.
Thursday, October 22: Sweeter After A Rest; Read Exodus 20:11. Our time has skyrocketed in value. Time that was once abundant, now is going to the highest bidder. The rest, the zigzagged command in music to do nothing reminds us that the music is always sweeter after a rest. That is why we are reminded to take a rest on the seventh day.
Friday, October 23: The Power Of Your Hands; Read Job 17:9. What if someone were to film a documentary on your hands? What would we see? Would we see hands that were taking more often than giving, demanding instead of offering? Leave them unmanaged and they can become weapons. When we manage our hands they can become instruments of Grace, they can become God’s hands.
Saturday, October 24: To Tell The Truth; Read Ephesians 4:25. Are you in a dilemma wondering if you should tell the truth or not? The question to ask in such moments is, will. God bless my deceit? Will the Lord, who loves the truth, bless the business of falsehoods? Will God honor the career of the manipulator?
